That’s right. It’s been a whole day and neither of my Macs are updated to Catalina.

I love to get the new OS when Apple releases. However, as much as I like to read about the newest bells and whistles for the OS, I also tend to fascinate on the negatives, both official and user experiences.
My good friend Brandon, being the young Mac master that he is, jumps right in to installation. When I texted him today to ask if he installed yet, he sent me a pic of his display with “6 minutes remaining” emblazoned in the screen. His response to me was “I always YOLO updates day 1”. I love this guy!!
With this being a pretty major update, as we split iTunes into 3 separate apps of Music, AppleTV, and Podcasts, along with the incorporation of Apple Arcade, there’s a lot to take in here. For me, there is a lot to be nervous about and plenty of backups to make before undertaking the update process. The process is usually painless with Mac, but issues do arise sometimes. Better be prepared than not.
