1. Geovision Vms License

Possible Causes

1. You are using all IP cameras (and no capture card for analog cameras) but did not choose GV-NVR as the Setup Type
   
   Solution
   
   1. Uninstall the GeoVision Digital Surveillance System from Windows Control Panel
   2. Delete the GV-XXX folder from C: (example: C:GV-600B)
   3. Install the GV-DVR/NVR software again and choose GV-NVR as the Setup Type
2. Multicam cannot recognize the GeoVision card due to bad/missing driver

   1. Verify GeoVision card driver(s) under Device Manager to ensure there is no '?' or unidentified devices.
   2. If there is, reinstall GeoVision driver and check again.
   3. If reinstalling driver does not resolve the problem, go to step 3.
3. Incompatible driver and software version
   
   Solution
   
   1. Verify whether the OS and software/driver you are installing is compatible with your GeoVision card by refering to Hardware/Software Compatibility Chart.
   2. Reinstall GeoVision driver and software if necessary. Instructions for a deep uninstall here, and the latest GV-DVR/NVR software here
   3. Refer to Software/Driver Upgrade Guide to ensure upgrade is done properly.
4. Bad PCI slot or GeoVision card
   
   Solution
   
   1. Remove GeoVision card from the motherboard, then insert the card into another PCI/PCI-x slot on the motherboard and try again.
   2. Remove GeoVision card from the motherboard, then insert the card into a different PC and try again. We recommend using something from our list of tested compatible pc components here
   3. If the same driver issue continues to exist even on a different PC, even with our tested compatible pc components, initiate RMA for this card with your distributor.
